About the Modular Sofas collection

The modular sofas in this collection allow made-to-measure configurations with corner units, centre modules, ottomans and rounded corner pieces, in upholstery such as lurano or daley, in shades of sand, moss green, burgundy or ivory. The modular structure means the sofa can be reconfigured as your space changes.

By Eichholtz, the pieces can be arranged freely to suit the room — open-plan living rooms, relaxation corners or conversation areas — and pair naturally with a generous rug, a low coffee table and warm lighting, for a coherent look from one end of the room to the other.

Guide: modular sofa or corner sofa — which to choose for your living room.

How does a modular sofa work?

You buy the modules separately and arrange them in a straight line, an L or a U shape. A series usually includes centre modules, left and right corner units, sometimes a lounge module, and an ottoman that can also be used on its own.

  • Centre module: the middle section; add one or more to make the sofa longer.
  • Left and right corner units: the ends of the sofa; on an L-shaped sofa, the corner links the two sides.
  • Lounge: an elongated module where you can sit with your legs stretched out.
  • Ottoman: placed in front of the sofa as a footrest, or on its own as an extra seat.

In the Dean series, for example, each module is around 92 cm wide; in the Cresson and Grand Avenue series, the pieces are joined with metal connectors.

How do you plan a modular sofa?

  1. Measure the wall or area and divide the width by the width of one module, as listed on the product page.
  2. Choose the shape: straight for a single wall, L-shaped for a corner, U-shaped for a large living room or open-plan space.
  3. Leave room to walk around the sofa, especially if it stands in the middle of the room.
  4. Mark the outline on the floor with masking tape before ordering.

Modular sofa FAQs

What is a modular sofa?

A sofa made up of independent modules (centre, corner, lounge, ottoman) that you can arrange and rearrange however you like.

Can I add modules later?

Yes, as long as you choose modules from the same series and the same upholstery; that way the sofa grows with your space.

Modular sofa or corner sofa?

A modular sofa is more flexible, ideal for open-plan spaces and moving house; a corner sofa has a fixed shape and suits a free corner where the sofa will always stay in the same place.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery within the EU costs €30 per order, and you can return items within 14 days of receipt (return shipping at your expense).
