Christmas Gifts

A great Christmas gift is something the recipient will use in their home long after the holidays. Below you'll find Christmas gift ideas by recipient and by budget, with pieces from the Tasi Home Studio catalogue.

In short

  • For those closest to you, choose pieces used every day: a photo frame, a cushion, a vase or a table lamp.
  • For godparents, hosts and business partners, tableware works well: trays, bowls, candlesticks and lanterns.
  • Under 100 lei you'll mostly find Christmas decor: baubles, angels, tree ornaments and small wreaths.
  • If you don't know someone's taste, choose neutral colours (cream, white, champagne, brass) that suit almost any home.
  • You can see the materials and finishes in our Satu Mare showroom, and online orders can be returned within 14 days, under the conditions in our return policy.

Christmas gifts for her

For her, choose a decorative piece she'll use every day: a bouclé cushion, a coloured glass vase, a decorative jewellery box or a frame for a photo of the two of you. If you don't know the colours in her home, cream, champagne and rose gold go almost anywhere.

Christmas gifts for him

For him, objects with a clear purpose work best: a wine rack, a desk tray, a box of playing cards or a travel backgammon set. These are pieces that stay on show on the desk or in the bookcase, and they don't depend on sizes or taste in clothes.

Christmas gifts for colleagues and businesses

For colleagues and Secret Santa swaps, small pieces of Christmas decor work well: a set of baubles, an angel or a crown-shaped bauble. They're easy to share around the team and you don't need to know the recipient's home.

Christmas gifts under 100 lei

Under 100 lei you'll mainly find Christmas decor: glass baubles, feathered angels, tree ornaments, small wreaths and decorative pieces for the table. Combine two or three pieces in the same colour palette for a cohesive gift on a small budget.

Premium gifts for the home

For a more special gift, choose a designer piece for the home: a table lamp with a velvet shade, a brass vase or decorative object, or a raffia decorative box. This is mostly where Eichholtz and The Met pieces come in.

For someone who has everything

When someone already has everything, a decorative object on display, like a brass lobster on a console table, is more fitting than yet another useful thing. Choose according to the style of the home, not the function.

The full selection is in our premium gifts for the home collection, and you'll also find table lamps in our table lamps collection.

Christmas decorations as a gift idea

Christmas decorations make a good gift for someone who is moving house or refreshing their decor this year: a garland with artificial snow for the stairs or fireplace, a door wreath, a tree topper or a jute tree skirt.

Frequently asked questions

By budget: Christmas gift ideas under 100, 200 and 500 lei.

What should you give for Christmas?

Give something the person will use at home long after the holidays, chosen for the recipient: a cushion or a vase for her, a desk accessory or a wine rack for him, a photo frame for parents and something for the table for godparents or hosts.

What shouldn't you give for Christmas?

There's no fixed list, but avoid gifts that put the recipient in an awkward position: very large objects for a home you don't know, or loud colours in a neutral interior. Unsealed cushions cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, so only choose them when you're sure of the colour.

When are Christmas gifts given?

In Romania, Christmas gifts are usually placed under the tree on Christmas Eve, 24 December, and opened that evening or on the morning of 25 December. On St Nicholas' Day, 6 December, small gifts are traditionally left in shoes the night before.

What Christmas gifts can you find under 100 lei?

Under 100 lei you'll mostly find Christmas decor: glass baubles, small bauble sets, angels, tree ornaments and small wreaths. You'll find them in our Christmas gifts under 100 lei collection.

Where can you find Christmas decorations in Satu Mare?

Tasi Home Studio has a showroom in Satu Mare, at Strada Aurel Vlaicu no. 88/A (Mon–Fri 8–18, Sat 10–18). All the Christmas decorations in our catalogue are online, in the Christmas collection; if you'd like to see a particular piece, call us first on +40 741 808 090.
