About the Magnetic Track Lighting collection

Magnetic track (often searched for as "magnetic track lighting") is a lighting system on an aluminium profile in which spotlights, linear lights and pendants attach magnetically and can be moved along the track at any time, without tools. Here you will find the magnetic systems from Maytoni (Exility, Radity, S35, Flarity) and Ideal Lux (Stick, Deva), with everything you need for a complete kit: tracks, connectors, end caps, suspension kits and power supplies.

Surface-mounted or recessed? Surface-mounted track is fixed directly to the ceiling and is ideal for renovations. Recessed track sits in a plasterboard suspended ceiling and stays flush with the ceiling surface. The suspended version lowers the system above a table or island, which is why it often appears alongside kitchen pendant lights. Magnetic systems run on low voltage, with a dedicated power supply (for example 48 V for Ideal Lux Stick and 24 V for Deva), and fittings cannot be mixed between different systems.

For a ceiling without track, see recessed spotlights, and for classic single-phase and three-phase tracks see tracks and lighting systems and track lights. Working on a project? Our team can help you with the list of components.

Complete guide: magnetic track — what it is, surface-mounted or recessed, and what you need for a kit.

Frequently asked questions

What does surface-mounted or recessed magnetic track mean?

Surface-mounted track is fixed directly to the ceiling, while recessed track is installed in a plasterboard suspended ceiling, flush with the ceiling surface. Within the same system, the fittings can usually be used on both versions; compatibility is listed on each product page.

Can I combine Maytoni spotlights with an Ideal Lux track?

No. Each magnetic system has its own profile, voltage and connectors. Choose a single system (for example Maytoni Exility or Ideal Lux Stick) and take all the components from the same series.

What do I need for a magnetic track kit?

The track (surface-mounted, recessed or suspended), the right power supply, connectors and end caps, plus the light fittings. You can send us a sketch of your ceiling at contact@tasi.ro and we will put together the list of components.
