INSPIRATION


The Roumier Armchair reflects the opulence of a 1788 French armchair in The Met collection. The original was one of 16 armchairs commissioned from master cabinetmaker Georges Jacob (French, 1739–1814) for Louis XVI's game room at Saint Cloud. This armchair celebrates the neoclassical elegance and meticulous craftsmanship of Jacob's designs.
