Introducing the "Moon Jar Table Lamp" by Eichholtz, a modern marvel inspired by an 18th-century Korean moon jar created during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910).
Our interpretation reimagines The Met's impressive porcelain vessel, named for its moon-like shape, with a sand finish and brushed brass, as well as a handmade linen-blend shade from the Netherlands. This sophisticated table lamp is a fusion of historic and contemporary styles and emits a warm, charming light that elevates any space.INSPIRATION
The Moon Jar Table Lamp is inspired by an 18th-century Korean porcelain moon jar—named for its gently curved shape and milky-white color—housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection in New York. Moon jars, popular during the 18th and 19th centuries under the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), were typically made in two halves and then joined together by hand. The moon jar that inspired this lamp acquired a light peach hue in places as a result of the firing process. These imperfections evoke the beauty of nature. The Moon Jar Table Lamp features a sand finish, brushed brass details, and a handmade linen-blend shade from the Netherlands.
