INSPIRATION

The Corbin Floor Lamp takes its design inspiration from the Cloisters Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Cloisters, the museum’s space dedicated to medieval art and architecture, opened to the public in Upper Manhattan in 1938. The Cloisters Library houses approximately 15,000 volumes exploring European medieval decorative arts, sculpture, architecture, painting, stained glass, and illuminated manuscripts. Our American-style floor lamp echoes the details of the library’s lamps, with an adjustable stand featuring a brushed brass finish and a handmade Dutch-crafted linen-blend shade in an oatmeal color.
