Sculpted into a timeless amphora shape, with fluid curves and rounded proportions, this decorative object has a bold yet graceful presence. The colored stoneware finish highlights its sculptural form, while its solid construction gives it a monumental feel. Although it is not functional as a vessel, its silhouette evokes classic wine jars and enriches any space with historical depth.INSPIRATION
This design is inspired by a 7th-century Chinese wine vessel held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. While the shape of the museum vessel recalls the silhouette of Greco-Roman amphorae, and its animal-head handles draw inspiration from Persian and Central Asian traditions, the original piece is rooted in Chinese art, embodying the cosmopolitan spirit of the Tang dynasty (618–907). This fusion of styles is reinterpreted here in a serene stone-like form.
