Christmas decorations for businesses: hotel, restaurant, office and shop

A business's Christmas decor works differently from decor at home: customers see it, it has to look good from a distance and it has to last several weeks in a space with a lot of foot traffic. Below you will find what to choose for each type of space (hotel and reception, restaurant and café, office, shop and shop window), when it's worth renting a decorated tree and when to buy one, and how to request a quote for your business.

Where do you start with a business's Christmas decor?

With the spot customers see first: the entrance, the reception or the shop window. That's where you place the centrepiece, usually a decorated tree, and complete it with decor in the same palette.

1. Choose a palette and keep to it everywhere: red and gold, the classic, or white, cream and gold, more elegant. The same palette at the entrance, on the tables and in the window makes the space look planned, not thrown together.
2. Put the centrepiece at the entrance: a decorated tree, big enough to be seen from the street or the door.
3. Add to it along the customer's route: wreaths on the doors, garlands on the bar or reception desk, a few pieces on the tables.
4. Check safety and access: nothing on escape routes, light cables secured, LED candles instead of real flames wherever people sit.

Which Christmas decorations should you choose for a hotel?

A large decorated tree in the lobby, with reindeer, lanterns or decorated urns at the entrance, and wreaths on the main doors.

A hotel lobby is usually high, so the tree can be 3 m or even 4.15 m tall. The decorated trees for rent from Tasi come fully dressed, as pictured, and we install them for you. Which Christmas decorations should you choose for a restaurant or café?

Decor that doesn't get in the way of service: a tree near the entrance or in the corner of the room, wreaths on the doors, garlands on the bar and LED candles on the tables.

• On the tables, LED candles give the same atmosphere as real ones, but with no flame, no wax and no need to look after them between services.
• On the bar and reception desk, a warm white light garland or a long decorative garland can be seen from across the room.
• On the door, a large wreath announces the festive season from the street.

Which Christmas decorations should you choose for an office?

A tree in reception and a few pieces in the meeting room, with no decorations on the desks.

In an office, the decor is more for the team and visitors than for sales. A 180 cm artificial tree in reception, a wreath at the entrance and a garland in the meeting room are usually enough. Which Christmas decorations should you choose for a shop or shop window?

Large pieces, visible from a distance: figurines of 90–177 cm, a decorated tree and warm lights.

In a shop window, a few large pieces stand out better than many small ones. Large nutcrackers, at 91, 120 or 177 cm, look good in pairs on either side of the entrance, or in the window next to a tree. Should you rent a decorated tree or buy one?

Rent if you want a decorated tree only for the season, with no storage and no installation; buy if you'll use it for several years and have somewhere to keep it.

• Rental: the standard season is 15 November – 15 January, the tree arrives fully decorated, and installation and removal are included. Transport is calculated based on the location. If you commit from the start to at least 3 consecutive seasons, you get 15% off the rental.
• Purchase: the tree belongs to the business, but you need space to store it and people to set it up every year.

Call or write to us with the type of space, location, period and what you need, and we'll send you a quote, with a company invoice.

1. Tell us about the space: hotel, restaurant, office or shop, and where you want the decor (entrance, lobby, dining room, shop window).
2. Send a few photos or the dimensions, especially the ceiling height where the tree will stand.
3. Tell us the period and whether you'd like to rent or buy.
